World's Finest Comics enjoyed a long and distinguished run from 1941 until 1986. It began as a giant-sized anthology comic, featuring stories starring the Boy Commandos, Green Arrow, Batman, Superman, and others. What the series is best known for, however, is the ongoing team-ups between Batman and Superman that began in issue #71.
This pairing between the Man of Steel and the Dark Knight proved greatly popular and eventually squeezed out all other features in the book. The plots generally worked by having Batman solve with detective work the problems that Superman was unable to handle through pure strength. Other plots had Batman tackling villains who used Kryptonite to disable Superman. That these stories were often hopelessly forced did nothing to dampen fans' enthusiasm for them.
We try and describe comic defects that can not be easily seen so we rely on the large images we provide which normally show front cover, back cover, side views, and centerfold which will show the quality of the interior pages.
