Up for auction is this vintage Comic from 1946 - The Spirit, Summer Issue #5. This comic has not been graded but it looks to be in pretty good condition for a comic of this age. The cover is still securely attached but there is a tear along the top of the spine down for about 2 inches - hopefully the photos show the tear. I will be listing other comics/magazines and autographed photo's over the next few days Buy multiple items and save lot's of money by combining the shipping. Each comic will be shipped in a padded envelope and the comic itself will be boarded and bagged in acid free plastic. The items I will be listing are from an elderly friend who has been collecting Western/Cowboy memorabilia, Hollywood Autographed Pictures and Sports Memorabilia over his lifetime and has finally decided it is time to downsize. My friends collections are all very high quality and authentic; his collection rooms are very neat and tidy but they are very full. Each time I visit, I am in awe of the things he has collected and it's like a treasure hunt each time i'm there. Although the items are of high quality we will not be asking top dollar - we understand that in order to move items we have to be realistic and start the bidding or selling at very reasonable prices. We know some people will be getting basement bargain deals because of the low starting prices but we're willing to accept that and we hope that you're one of those people. COMICS - Most of the comics we will list will be an"Auction Style" with a starting price at $9.99 unless they are exceptional or autographed comics. Based on my research I believe this starting price is low as I have checked the "completed listings" and the prices range from $10 to ????. Although I am not a comic expert, I have seen enough to know the condition of a good one from a poor one. If the comic comes with a grade I will note it, if not, I will describe the comic as best as I can. There are just too many comics for me to do research on - so please check often and maybe you'll find a rarity - in reality we are just hoping the auction system will give us what the market is bearing and we just want to start moving items. HOLLYWOOD AUTOGRAPHS - Most of the items will be autographed Western Movie Star memorabilia from actors such as John Wayne, Robert Mitchum, James Steward, Clint Eastwood, Roy Rogers - too many to list. SPORTS MEMORABILIA - This gentleman also is a huge sports fan and similar to his Western collection has also been collecting items such as Game Jersey's, Autographed Photo's, Player's Cards, Pucks, Baseballs, Bats etc.. His favorite sport is baseball and when he was younger he managed some pretty good teams - he also got to know some of the players personally and has some pretty cool stuff. His favorite teams are the New York Yankees and Chicago Black Hawks. Still, he has many other items from various Teams. Vintage Western Toys - Lot's of Roy Rogers, Hopalong Cassidy, Gene Autry, etc. A lot of theitems come with Certificates of Authenticity, but some do not. Personally, I know that all of the items I list will be authentic but if you are not satisfied with any of the items I will offer a 100% refund - no questions asked.
