Using the Overstreet Guide grading standards, meets the criteria/description of 7.0 F/VF to 9.2 NM-
#131 – Stunning copy; super-clean with no staining/soiling other than very light shelf wear; no foxing; cover has excellent gloss, rich bold colors, and high reflectivity - it really ‘pops’; cover lies very flat and has no ‘reading bends’; corners of covers and inside pages are super-sharp and square with no micro-chipping and almost no blunting; inside of cover and pages are white/off-white and very clean; cut and alignment of book are just slightly off-center; all edges are super-sharp and don’t have those light impressions that come from the book being held with fingers and pages turned; staples are clean with light discoloration; cover and centerfold both fully and well attached; two light color-breaks and three ‘spider creases’ along the spine, otherwise there are no other color-breaking creases anywhere else on the book. It is nearly perfect and CGC worthy…
#132 – Nice mid-grade with typical flaws; clean with light/moderate shelf wear but no major stains; very good gloss/reflectivity but doesn’t really ‘pop’ and rich colors but with a very slight touch of fade; a few specs of very light foxing; corners are square but not sharp with moderate blunting; spine has several light color-breaks/‘spider creases’; several small color-breaking creases to front/back covers (see pics of front cover at the corners) and a small number of non-color breaking ‘reading bends’; very small tear on edge of front cover, about an inch from the top; cover and centerfold both fully and well attached, but with just a slight touch of pull; inside covers and pages are off-white and clean; staples are clean with mild discoloration. Nothing exceptional, just a nice mid-grade.
#133 – Gorgeous book, every bit of a 9.0 VF/NM except that it has two spots of staining on the back cover, dropping it to an 8.0 VF. See the pic of the back cover at the bottom, you’ll see the small tan spot, and there’s a very slight abrasion next to it where someone obviously tried to clean it but was unsuccessful. There’s a second one just like it on the top-inside of the back cover (not pictured because EBay only lets me upload 12 pics). Otherwise, it’s excellent; very clean with light shelf wear; no foxing; cover has excellent gloss, rich bold colors, and high reflectivity; cover lies very flat and has only a couple ‘reading bends’; corners of covers and inside pages are very sharp and square with no micro-chipping and only slight blunting; inside cover/pages are white/off-white and very clean; cut and alignment of book are just slightly off-center; staples are clean with light discoloration; cover and centerfold both fully and well attached; spine is almost perfect and there are no other color-breaking creases elsewhere. If not for the 2 specs of staining, it would be CGC worthy…
