This auction is for one(1) "The Spirit" 8-Page Sunday Comic Insert dated November 23, 1947. This comic features the Spirit, and Jonesy. Sections like these were inserted into the Sunday Comics of major newspapers between 1940 and 1952. The Spirit character was created by Will Eisner. Jonesy was a Bernard Dibble strip.
The Comic Insert is Golden Age Comic Book size, Apprx 10" x 7 1/2". This comic is in really bad condition. I am conservatively grading it as Fair(FR). The Paper quality is a supple cream color. Print and Color registration is sharp. Prominent defects include trimming in the top and bottom margins, a piece out of the lower spine, and general wear along the perimeter.(see pics provided).
