This auction is for one(1) "The Spirit" 16-Page Sunday Comic Insert dated July 21, 1940. This comic features the Spirit, Lady Luck, and Mr. Mystic. Sections like these were inserted into the Sunday Comics of major newspapers between 1940 and 1952. The characters were created by Will Eisner. Lady Luck was most notably worked on by Klaus Nordling.
The Comic Insert is Golden Age Comic Book size, Apprx 10" x 7 1/2". This comic is in pretty nice condition. I am conservatively grading it as Good/VeryGood(G/VG). The Paper quality is a supple cream color. Print and Color registration is a little off on the front page, but nice afterwardsharp. Prominent defects is print guide pinholes along the bottom margin.(see pics provided).
