This auction is for one(1) "The Spirit" 16-Page Sunday Comic Insert dated December 22, 1940. This comic features the Spirit, Lady Luck, and Mr. Mystic. Sections like these were inserted into the Sunday Comics of major newspapers between 1940 and 1952. The characters were created by Will Eisner. Lady Luck was most notably worked on by Klaus Nordling.
The Comic Insert is Golden Age Comic Book size, Apprx 10" x 7 1/2". This comic is in pretty nice condition. I am conservatively grading it as Fair(FR). The Paper quality is a supple cream color. Print and Color registration is sharp. Prominent defects include a fully detached back cover and the front cover is mostly detached. In addition there is general wear on the perimeter.(see pics provided).
