The Spirit #18 from November, 1949.

Fair to Poor condition with supple off-white pages. Large piece missing top right front cover (see scan). Long vertical tear covered with old piece of tape middle of first interior page.

Lower grade but complete, affordable reading copy.

*U.S. Bidders: Shipping will be $5.00 for the first item won; any additional items will ship together for free (no matter how many items you buy in a given week). 

All of my comics are shipped individually bagged & boarded and taped between strong pieces of cardboard, and sent in crush-proof cardboard boxes. I have been shipping between 100-200 packages each week for the past few years (including many international shipments), and 0 books have arrived damaged. If you buy from me, I promise that your items will arrive safely and exactly as I have described them.

*International Bidders: I realize that high shipping costs are always a concern for international shipments; to help, I try to charge bidders several dollars below my cost when shipping internationally (the USPS raised rates recently, by as much as 50% in some cases, so I’ve had to raise my costs, but I am still charging customers several dollars below my actual cost, so I hope that these are still seen as very fair rates). Canada: If you win: 1 comic book, I will charge you: $10.00 for shipping. 2-6 comic books: $15.00 for shipping. 7-12 comic books: $20.00 for shipping. 13-16 comic books: $25.00 for shipping. 17-20 comic books: $30.00 for shipping. 21-30 comic books: $35.00 for shipping.

31+ comic books: $35.00 for first 30 books + $0.50 per book for each book above 30 (so for example, 40 books would cost: $35.00 (first 30 books) + $5.00 (0.50 x 10)=$40.00 total.)

United Kingdom/Australia: If you win: 1 comic book, I will charge you $15.00 for shipping. 2-6 comic books: $20.00 for shipping. 7-12 comic books: $27.50 for shipping. 13-16 comic books: $32.50 for shipping. 17-20 comic books: $40.00 for shipping. 21-30 comic books: $50.00 for shipping.

31+ comic books: $50.00 for first 30 books + $0.50 per book for each book above 30 (so for example, 40 books would cost: $50.00 (first 30 books) + $5.00 (0.50 x 10)=$55.00 total.
