Up for auction is Avengers #1 graded by CGC at 5.0. Published by Marvel Comics in September 1963, Avengers #1 is the first appearance of the Avengers. This book has been sought after over the last four decades and is as much an investment as it is a collectible and important piece of comic’s history. Marvel has been making a push in recent years with their Iron Man, Hulk and Thor movies all culminating the release of an Avengers movie in the next coming years. Just as the first appearances of Superman and Batman saw a dramatic increase in their value following the release of their respective movies, the same will be true for Avengers #1. The 5.0 grade for this comic is a very high grade. Of all the Avengers #1 on Ebay, you won’t find a better deal than this. If you search the auctions, you will find Avengers #1 CGC graded 4.0 that the seller is asking 1350.00 for. That is a great deal, but I will be starting the bidding for this CGC graded 5.0 for 999.99 and let the bidders decide what it ends up selling for.
