I am downsizing and selling 85 comics. I have 40 DC comics (Wonder Woman, World’s Finest, Teen Titans, and a few others) from the mid-1960s that will be closing on Nov. 6th. 90% are in VF to NM condition. I am also offering 45 Detective and Superman comics from the same era and in the same condition. The bids on these comics will close on November13th.
I have always tried to handle and store the comics carefully. They have been in a plastic bin, in a dry and smoke free environment since they were purchased in the 1960s. Recently, individual protective plastic covers have been used for each comic and will be included in the mailing.
I am not a professional grader of comics. For each comic up for auction, there are high-resolution photographs of the actual cover, as well as high-resolution photos of the first page and of two middle pages. To judge my grading of the comics, please look closely at these additional photos. Most eBay comics auctions show only the cover, not these interior pages.
I have always started my auctions with a $1.00 bid, no matter what the item is worth. There is never a reserve to be met. Sometimes I lose out, but often the lower start price generates more interest and more bidding.
Winning bidders will have the comics shipped inside a plastic protective cover with cardboard stiffener on the outer sides of the plastic cover. I will combine shipping for multiple winners. If you are a winning bidder on the Nov. 6th auctions and would like me to hold the comics until the Nov. 13th bids are complete, I will be happy to do that, as well.
I can ship by USPS Priority Mail, or first class package with tracking, or any other method the buyer would prefer.
