duh I put the description in the item condition slot. will copy paste here; let it suffice to say the conditions are varying, the basement is dry/cool/dark so no elemental damage. I was also saying I have a massive vintage video game systems collection for sale as well, negotiable but it is huge. there is enough inventory here to start your own comic & vintage video game store. I can help with advising on how to do that. I just don't have time nor inclination. There is a vintage/early computer collection here as well, including TWO Steve Wozniak signed WOZ edition apple ii gs computers.

As stated this auction is for the comic books, magazines, and negotiable on the racking & price guide collection. I will keep coming back to convert pics from the FB hosting to the ebay hosting.

****NOTE the buy it now price includes the shelves the comics are on if you want them. Basically $15K for the books and $2K for the shelving**********

****Also note, once a bit is placed, I cannot add to description. So it's best to ask questions and I can reply/add information there*****

"This is just to get the auction started. I have approximately 90K to 100k books stored in a cool, dry, dark place. The most valuable part probably is the Journey Into Mystery starting with 82 on up (yes there are copies of 83 in there one original and 2 printed a year later?). Multiple copies of the Hulk/Thor fights. There are also a lot of Conan in there including a #1 CGC copy, some signed things. A smattering of Golden age stuff. I think the collection stops in the late 1990s to early 2000s. way back when facebook used to let one upload only 60 pics per album, I had uploaded the pics. None have left this collection since then, more have ben added. There is also a shot of the comic book price guide collection I have. I can throw them in (negotiable). I prefer to NOT ship these although it's not out of the question. Time payments can be made but will have to be in the 6-9 month timeframe. I can arrange for visits to view the books. and the shelving is also quite valuable/negotiable as well. Also massive vintage video games neg."

hello! I will be answering questions throughout the auction, starting tonight will be trying to at least explain what is seen in the pics. For those who say the FB links are dead, they are not dead. The link is to a publicly viewable folder on Facebook. If you can't see them then you may have to log into facebook to view them.
I am calling folks back who leave their phone numbers so they can get an idea of what's in the collection. There is no way I can give an exact inventory of all these tens of thousands of comics; more of a general idea of the mix and hit the highlights of what's in them. Most of the 'vintage stuff' has been pictured and there are boxes of unopened Wizard comic price guides/magazines with their premiums still intact. I can only upload 5 images per question answered and the folder on Facebook has like 60 pictures. So will try to hit the highlights here.
On the shelving there is room for one long box and one short box per facing. so roughly 500 comics per facing. 8 facings per shelf. 5 shelves per rack. that's 20,000 comics roughly per rack. there are 3 of those racks, that's 60K books on those main 3 racks. one other rack that's about half that size; so maybe 10k on that rack. then a different type of shelving that is half the depth; so i put 2 of those racks together to make the same facing ie 1 long/one short box per facing but it's not as wide. so 500 per facing, 5 facings wide = 2500 per shelf x 5 shelves = 12.5k comics on that rack. so 82.5k on those racks combined. then there are misc boxes of mags & things all over the place so it is likely at least close to the lower limit of 90k comics.
The good news is MOST Of this stuff is sorted by rack/publisher. within those boxes are sorted sub-groups organized by title. each title is fairly well organized and some of those are in numerical order. Plenty to make mini-sets out of, and the buy it now price seems decently fair; the racks don't have to go with them if you don't want them. THANKS!

I had someone local come look at the books, thank you M. a very rough estimate puts the books in at 75-80 thousand. There are boxes of unopened wizard comics, boxes of bagged comics 3 per bag off of racks that are unopened. Lots of misc romance, funny animal, pre-code crime and horror. Nothing major, just a surprise in some of the miscellaneous boxes it seems.  I am no sure what the CGC grade of the conan #1 is, if memory serves it is a Fine or VF. it is about 25-30% marvel, 25% DC, the rest independent. There are a couple of boxes of magazines; lots of unfolded/broken down 300ct boxes and lids. Most of the stuff is in pretty good order, at least by comic company and generally by title. In most cases each run is sorted within it's title as well.  I will help load; shelving is still negotiable of course but I do need the room and you may need the shelving. I will also answer those questions asked individually and post more pics.

If you're out of town, I am starting to get quotes on having a POD (portable on demand storage) dropped off at my house, I load it, and it gets delivered to your house. Those quotes are coming in over $2-3k. Also it's possible for me to rent a truck one-way, deliver them to you, and take a bus/plane/common carrier back home. Either way Paypal will only 'protect me' if it has a tracking number; a POD would probably cover that.

Time is something I do have a bit of, but for me to deliver it cross-country a day or two out and a day or two back, is a time-burden-cost to me as well. I'm sure you can understand. I'm still looking into other methods of drop-shipping the collection including palletizing it and having Forward Air deliver it. To be honest the more personal of a touch (ie me doing all the labor including delivery) will get the books handled better. I shudder to think about them being palletized and trucked; the POD seems a fair middle of the road solution as far as handling but is expensive.

The collection itself; basically the best stuff is in the pictures. Titles such as uncanny X=men, amazing spiderman, daredevil, FF, Avengers, etc have very little silver/bronze age. But a lot of 'copper' and modern age. Titles like the 1990 new X-men, New Mutants, X-force, Alpha Flight, Spider-man (McFarlane stuff) are virtually untouched. There is some Peter parker/Spec Spidey but not a lot.

On the DC side of things, only the batman titles had anything sold out of them. there are still runs with Knightfall; death in the family, stuff I'm not really familiar with but I know are 'hot'. The superman titles never got touched; loads of Action, Superman, and the like. JLA, Green lantern, Swamp thing, all those titles that I"m not as familiar with just aren't touched. There is a smattering of 10/12/15c DC titles, just like there is a smattering of pre-code stuff, just nothing 'KEY" that I can remember. a box of photo-cover comics/cowboys/movies/romance type stuff and funny animal are in there.

Boxes of unopened Wizards, comics that were 3 to a bag, just a weird set of stuff. I may take a couple more pics and put them in that folder on the FB page. I"ve had a few phone conversations and a visit, so there is DEFINITELY interest and I'm pretty sure these will sell. I'd like to see $15k for them, maybe at $15k I'd throw in 4-5 sets of shelves. But ebay fees alone are stacking up and if this transaction goes through paypal that's another $450 out of pocket.
