BATMAN DARK KNIGHT SUGITA BUST

Item Description

This is quite a unique Batman Bust.

The origins of this bust are somewhat in question. In many ways, this resembles the horrific long-eared Batman drawn by Kelley Jones back in the early 1990s. Very atmospheric with claw-like ears at least a foot long. However, this appears to be a recast of the Sugita Batman kit (the top part, anyway). Except the scale is off -- this bust is easily twice the size as the same section of the Sugita kit. But the resemblance is uncanny, right down to the musculature.

This bust is cast in a very hard porcelain-like resin, as opposed to the normal softer resin of the Sugita.

Condition: Excellent – except for several tiny points that need a drop of paint. The front top of the ears shows slight scuffs. And the tiniest part of the top of one of the ears has chipped.

This bust is very large at 8" long and 7.5" high. There are no mold lines, no flash, no pinholes. Weight: is 3.5 lbs. There is no date, no information written on or stamped into the base.
