Description
Up for auction is the original pen/ink artwork for the cover to issue #6 of the Spirit by Will Eisner published by Kitchen Sink Press.
The artwork is approximately 8.25” x 12.75” on thick board (bristle board?) with a dimension of approximately 9.75” x 14.75” and is signed by the artist.
The artwork has minor edge and corner wear with light creases near the top left corner and bottom boarder of which none affects the artwork area. Overall the artwork is in very nice condition.
Minor whiteout was used for corrections and effect.
The back of the artwork is stamped “Will Eisner STUDIOS, Inc.” with another stamp on copyright ownership.
This is a great cover by Will Eisner featuring the artist’s iconic character Denny Colt as the Spirit along with the con man Mister Carrion and his pet vulture Julia.
