I have found out through the years that my dad does very little sketching. Not at home or at his office or at conventions. Heck, he doesn't even do them for me. But I have been bugging him and asked if he would do a small sketch on this Blank Sketch Cover of AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #1 from 2014. Well...
He did more than just a "small sketch" on this book. As you can see by the photos he spent some time on the drawing and wanted to make sure it looked as good as possible. As some of you may know, my dad hasn't sold any of his original artwork since 1992 as he has concentrated on his SPAWN character for Image Comics. And he rarely does drawings of other characters but his work on spider-Man won him dozens of awards and fans still ask him if he is ever going to go back to drawing Spidey again (his short answer is "No"). Because of his lack of selling any of his art over the past two decades, prices for the art he did still in the '90's  has soared! In fact the original artwork for the cover of  The Amazing Spider-Man #328 sold at a big New York auction SOLD for over $650,000. Which was a new record for a single piece of comic art).

NOTE:  For those that are interested. A CGC witness letter can be requested (as person was here watching my dad sketching who is a CGC verified witness person and can attest to the validity of the drawing). 

This would allow you to get an official YELLOW LABEL from CGC instead of the green 'un-verified' label.
