* Historical note: The title cover of this issue would have been "Cap V. The Black Panther", except the "Black" part was taken out because of the Black Panther Party and to avoid confusion.

Cap story is by Lee/ Kirby.  Iron Man story is by Lee/ Colan

This is some real nice stuff from the early Artist/ Writer historical collaboration, the true foundation and origin of the Marvel Zeitgeist.

This is a hot, crisp, beautiful book from the later Silver age.

·         Cover is flat, bright, with near full reflectivity, no chipping and impressive

·         Spine is flat and tight with modest dimpling, tiny stress lines

·         Corners sharp, barely perceptible blunting, and centerpiece is perfect

·         Staples secure; 1 recessed staple

·         Pages are creamy, 5 small interior page tears at bottom

·         Back cover clean

This stunning specimen is in the Very Fine range
