Description

I am selling an original owner collection primarily from roughly 1970-mid 70s Marvel, great condition with great white pages. The owner took these in rent for a central London comic shop and kept them stored in his library for 40 plus years away from dust, light and heat so they have survived really well.

This is Mighty World of Marvel #198 that presents the 1st appearance of The Wolverine from Incredible Hulk #181. Very tough to find in high grade owing to the oblong shape.

It's a glossy 8.0 copy. Basically read once and stored carefully away. A really great 'survivor' comic that you can actually read and enjoy and not stare at through plastic. Great white pages.

It was handed over as part 'shop rent' read once and stored away flat on library shelves behind rows and rows of books all this time and only now is seeing the light of day.

Priced to sell. Best value for the grade on eBay UK.

New backing board and poly bag. Postage Inland UK is £4.00 and really well wrapped, nice and flat to protect edges and corners.

Please enquire about overseas postage rates. I can send anywhere in the world. I also combine postage for multiple wins. Transactions must be completed within 10 days of the auction ending. After that time an Item Dispute will be lodged and further action taken. If you don't request and pay for specific insurance, I cannot accept any responsibility for a parcel once it has been posted. So for Inland UK please ask about Recorded Delivery and Special Delivery if you think you want it. I always get a Proof of Posting receipt and I think only one parcel has gone astray in nine years. And funnily enough it did get back to me eventually so I sent it out again. If some some unlikely reason a parcel does go astray I can assist in setting up a parcel trace by sending you the receipt but it's up to you to fill in the Compensation Form and send off. I am just too busy with my career as a Producer/Director at the Discovery Channel making movies around the world. Check out my other items and also have a look at the free 20 page British Comic Price Guide accessed through my Dream Director profile. I am always buying comics and am most interested in Marvel and DC Silver and Bronze Age 1960s and 1970s. I buy some British titles like Commando and TV 21, number one issues with free gifts, superhero annuals, anything high grade and of interest. You can always reach me on dmcalpine@totalise.co.uk or 07966 184613. I am very happy to value your comics and give you the best advice. I also value comic collections for insurance purposes. I have been down this route many times - ordinary house contents policies will not do, believe me!
