This pair of Iron Man issues from 1979 (issues 126 and 127) were signed by David Michelinie at the Comix Fair '85 in the Houston, TX area where I went as a dealer and got to meet him, along with several other comic creators of the day.

I grabbed a couple of Iron Man books that I had on me from my table and took it over to him, and he signed them for me.  Back in the day, people actually opened the books and signed them on the splash page, which I've included in the photos.

As for the books themselves, neither is pristine, though both are high-end copies.  126 is the lesser of the two and shows some light wear around the edges with a handful of spine ticks.  127 is better.  I saw no ticks on that one and really very little wear at all -- just a faint amount on the back cover.  Both are flat, smooth and shiny and look almost brand new at first glance.

These are part of the original alcoholism story line lead-up to the classic "Demon in a Bottle" climax.

And dang, Bob Layton was also at that convention -- have no idea why I didn't take these immediately over to him to autograph -- sigh....

When you buy these books, click Add to Cart and then check out any other of my single-issue listings (links below, but it applies to any of my listings involving a single issue) and add on as many other issues there as you like and pay no additional shipping! Why go to the trouble of hunting those down and paying shipping again when you can just add them to this order and pay no extra shipping? Just request an invoice from seller on the checkout screen before paying to give me a chance to apply the discount.
