I have for auction a really great-looking copy of Mighty World of Marvel #198 from July 1976 featuring the British debut of the ever popular Wolverine!
This is the UK printing of the US title Incredible Hulk #181
The 'Comic Book Price Guide for Great Britain' has this to say: "It's a comic in demand ... and with the dark cover that can show the slightest wear, a genuine high grade copy is hard to come by. For a perfect as new Near Mint copy I think £200 is reasonable. Will one ever find it's way to the market?"
Well, this isn't quite mint, but it's certainly the nicest copy I've seen so far. It's a nice, bright, clean copy with plenty of cover lustre, a tight spine and no tears or pen or pencil marks. There are spine dings, etc. and a feint crease to the bottom right of the cover. The interior pages have very slight off-white edges which is concurrent with UK newsprint comics of this era. However, please refer to the photographs for grade.
Comic also features Daredevil and X-men backup stories.
Included FREE is #10 of the British weekly comic Captain Britain from December 1976 featuring the third appearance of Betsy Braddock, who would go on to become the popular X-men character Psylocke!
This issue is significant as her being her first cover appearance! It's showing a fair bit of wear, but is complete with no tears or pen/pencil marks in or on the comic, and it's a great key issue to own.
