Description

The Incredible Hulk is Marvel's version of Frankenstein combined with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde.  He's always been a popular (ranking 9th on IGN's top 100 comic heroes) character in the comics as well as on TV (cartoons and live action) and in movies including the recent awesome Avengers movies.  Here is a set of 10 Hulk comics from the 90s, including #441-450.  All of these were written by Peter David during his epic award-winning 12 year run.  The first two are printed with glossy interior paper, the remaining are regular newsprint inside.

All of these were bought brand new myself.  They have been bagged either individually, or combined back-to-back in a larger bag, and stored in cardboard comic boxes.  I have about 5 boxes of comics that I'll be selling here, mostly from the 1980s, but a few from 1960s, 1970s and 1990s, so please check out my other listings.

I'm shipping these Priority Mail (discounted rate!) with all comics packed together (back-to-back) in one plastic bag, with extra cardboard for protection.

Here's an issue-by-issue breakdown:

441 - Glossy paper interior.  Great Angel Medina cover homage to Pulp Fiction with She-Hulk as Uma Thurman.  Change of pace issue without the Hulk, catching up on Betty Banner, Rick Jones, She-Hulk, Matt Talbot and Omnibus.  There is also a parody of the Pulp Fiction John Travolta/Uma Thurman dance scene.  Doc Samson is attacked by shadows....  VF

442 - Glossy paper interior.  Another Hulk-less issue featuring She-Hulk and Doc Samson taking on the Molecule Man, who is depressed over losing his girlfriend Volcana.  The Leader's henchmen leave Omnibus in a blizzard to die.  VF

443 - This issue reverts back to newsprint interior.  Janis Jones appears - she is Rick Jones' descendant ala Future Imperfect.  Quarry follows her from the future.  Hulk trashes Quarry and takes Janis away.  VF

444 - Onslaught Impact part 1.  Continued from Cable #34.  Hulk is possessed by Onslaught until Storm and Cable free him, and they all head out after Onslaught.  Janis Jones is at the Pantheon.  VF

445 - Onslaught Impact part 2.  Continued from Uncanny X-Men #336, continues in Onslaught #1.  Hulk leads some Avengers to take on Onslaught.  Onslaught tricks the Hulk causing the Avengers to mistrust him.  Cover homage to Avengers #1.  VF

446 - During the battle with Onslaught, the Hulk was physically separated from Bruce Banner.  Now, after Onslaught, the army tries to contain the Hulk who is mutating and spewing radiation.  Janis Jones escapes the Pantheon.  Trading card insert intact.  NM

447 - Mike Deodato art begins.   A new Savage Hulk appears in the aftermath of Onslaught.  He escapes the army and leaves with Janis Jones.  NM

448 - The Pantheon goes after the Hulk for the army, and manage to kill him.  But it was just a ruse to get the Hulk free to rejoin them.  But Hulk refuses and warns everyone that he will retaliate if disturbed.  NM

449 - First appearance Thunderbolts (Citizen V, Mach-1, Songbird, Techno, Atlas, Meteorite) who try to capture the Hulk to gain some notoriety.  The Hulk is weakened/injured during the fight.  VG due to crease in first page, otherwise NM.

450 - Double size issue.  Hulk fights Wildman, then meets...another Hulk???  Second story with Dr. Strange finding the Hulk's energy creating an alternate universe where they battle the Fantastic Four and Iron Man.  Also has a John Royle pinup of Hulk and Fantastic Four (original team).  NM
