We have been on a buying spree in 2016 and still haven’t come close to depleting our resources. The collections keep coming! We recently went on a three day buying trip to the Carolinas. We purchased 6 collections in less than 72 hours and drove back in a 15 foot truck. The third stop on the buying trip was a beautiful home in central, North Carolina. An old gentleman and his wife had owned an antique shop in town for nearly 40 years. Over that time, they had accumulated thousands of comics in various conditions. They had closed the business several years ago and brought the comics as well as some of their favorite collectibles back to their home. It was now time to sell. We we impressed by the diversity of the comics as well as the large quantity of pre-1970 comics. The condition was lower to mid-grade, what you would expect to find in collections such as this one. We bought the entire collection and loaded it on the truck. as we drove away, we reflected on the large number of key issues we saw from both Marvel and DC. This is a fantastic collector for a re-seller with well over 1,500 comics, all 1979 or earlier. The retail value on this great collection is nearly $40,000!
