Description

You are bidding on the cover ONLY of FLASH Comics, Volume 1, Number 6, June 1940. All-American Comics.

Cover art by Everett E. Hibbard.

The cover that Sheldon Cooper might bid upon - a 75 year-old comic cover of The "Fastest Man Alive".

These are considered comics from the "Golden Age" - when a seeming infinite diversity of comics appeared. This cover is an excellent example.

This is the cover (and reverse side) of the comic only. You see an untouched scan of the cover as-is, with no attempt to remove any and all faults. Naturally, the original exists without any digital watermarks or the halftone 'moire' patterns that result from scanning.

The following comments are NOT from a professional grader, so compare my comments with the image you see.

It has 2 holes (they were kept in a ring binder) on the left side. The staple side has indents where the staples were. The lower staple area has a section torn.  As for the other edges, they are straight & crisp. Note the condition of all corners. Note condition of upper left corner.

The reverse side offers all your dreams to come true by delivering magazines. Note mis-spelling of "American" in indicia.

i leave a bit of white along the edges from the scanner so you can more accurately determine the actual outline colors and wear for this cover.

It was stored flat in a trunk in a smoke-free environment.

Did i mention that you are bidding on the cover only? Just making sure you know :-)

Suitable for framing or any other treatment of your choice.

More covers will be auctioned in the future, so stay tuned. I cannot honor individual requests for a list or photos of the remaining covers.
