FANTASTIC FOUR ANNUAL #1. Published by Marvel Comics in 1963 (The 1st two Silver Age Marvel Superhero Annuals were Fantastic Four Annual #1, and Strange Tales Annual #2. They were the only two Superhero Annuals printed in 1963 by Marvel). This issue has stories Written by STAN LEE with cover and story Artwork by JACK KIRBY! This Annual presents a Very Early Cover & Story appearance of The AMAZING SPIDER-MAN! (Amazing Spider-Man #1 was also printed in 1963). Plus.. this Annual features the ORIGIN of SUB-MARINER, the 1st appearance of the Silver Age Atlantis, the Atlanteans, and Sub-Mariner's love interest in Atlantis.. Lady Dorma! (Marvel Comics #1 published in 1939 was the 1st App. of Lady Dorma).
The cover shows very nice colors, and it still retains its original cover gloss. There is no tape, store stamp, arrival-date, writing or markings of any kind anywhere. There are stress creases along the spine, cover creases, and a few short edge tears (See large photos provided for both the front and back covers). The pages are Off-White to White, and tight to the staples. The comic is complete, and unrestored.
