We have been on a buying spree in 2016. The collections keep coming! We recently went on a three day buying trip to the Carolinas. We purchased 6 collections in less than 72 hours and drove back in a 15 foot truck. The fourth stop on the buying trip was a modest house in Raleigh, North Carolina. We had received a call from a long-time DC comic collector that wanted to sell his prized collection. We received photos ahead of time that showed beautiful DC runs and a large amount of square bounds. As we looked at the collection contained in four boxes, we were happy with the appeal and condition of the comics. Its is rare to find an accumulation of nice DC square bound issues. There is also tremendous breadth across the titles. There was a beautiful high grade copy of Green Lantern #76 that has a market value of over $1,000. We do not come across mid-grade to upper mid-grade DC silver collections that often with this many comics. We negotiated a deal, bought the collection and loaded it in the truck. Four collections down and two to go. The retail value on this great collection is nearly $70,000!
