Comics cannot be shipped by the cheap Media Mail rate, they must go either by First Class (if under 13 ounces) or Priority Mail. The good news is that I can fit up to 10 comics (sandwiched between cardboard) inside a Priority Mail Flat Rate Envelope for $5.50, which includes Delivery Confirmation. ALSO: If you win more than one of my auctions, you never will pay more than a total of $11.30 for up to EIGHTY comic books shipped together in one box. (If the combined weight of your winnings is low enough that regular Priority Mail is cheaper than $11.30, that's obviously fine, too!)

You also can mix-and-match comics with other items (such as books, CDs and DVDs), so long as everything will fit inside an 11" x 8-1/2" x 5-1/2" box that is big enough to hold 80 comics. If that ends up being cheaper for you than having your Media Mail winnings shipped separately from your non-Media Mail winnings, I definitely will make sure that you pay the lowest amount possible, whether that means shipping things together or separately!

——Description of This Auction——

Having all of my comics professionally graded by CGC would cost a fortune and take forever, so I only have gotten my most valuable books graded. I have been collecting comics for more than 40 years -- buying most of them when they were brand new, reading them once and putting them in bags.

My grading scale is Near Mint (looks like it was just bought, any flaws are extremely minor), Fine (almost Near Mint, but just misses), Very Good (shows evidence of handling and has notable flaws but none are disastrously awful), Good (more flawed, still a solid book for reading but that's about it), Fair (big problems) and Poor (horrible condition, trash it after reading it).

These are the DC Comics adaptations of the first three Batman movies -- but you actually will get FOUR books, all in Like-New Near Mint condition, because I am including two different copies (with two different covers) of the adaptation of the first movie as well as the books adapting "Batman Returns" and "Batman & Robin."

BATMAN A MOVIE SPECIAL issue 1 1989 in NEAR MINT condition. This is the more "comic book" style version of the adaptation of Tim Burton's "Batman." Printed retail price on cover was $2.50 for this edition, no printing history listed. Written by Dennis O'Neil, art by Jerry Ordway.

BATMAN THE OFFICIAL COMIC ADAPTATION OF THE WARNER BROS. MOTION PICTURE in NM condition. This is a prestige format version of the same content found in the above book, but printed on MUCH nicer paper with a stiffer cover. Printed retail price on the cover of this nicer edition was $4.95. First printing.

BATMAN RETURNS THE OFFICIAL COMIC ADAPTATION OF THE WARNER BROS. MOTION PICTURE in NM condition. This is the only edition of any of the books in this auction that doesn't have a flat spine edge. Written by O'Neil, art by Stevve Erwin, Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez and Tom McCraw. $3.95 original retail price.

BATMAN & ROBIN THE OFFICIAL COMIC ADAPTATION OF THE WARNER BROS. MOTION PICTURE in NM condition. Prestige format, $5.95 original retail price, nice slick paper inside, no printing history listed. By Dennis O'Neil, Rodolfo Damaggio and Bill Sienkiewicz with Pat Garrahy.
