This is a rare copy of the Fawcett Golden Age comic book CAPTAIN MARVEL JR. #57 (January 1948). It contains 4 great Captain Marvel stories and a the classic Mac Rayboy cover!
By the end of the 1940s, the end was nearing for a long-running lawsuit between DC Comics (home of Superman) and Fawcett Comics, the publisher of the Captain Marvel titles. Fawcett finally decided to throw in the towel in 1954 and canceled all of their comics. CAPTAIN MARVEL JR. press runs were already quite low in the late 1940s, meaning that far fewer copies of this issue were printed. Finding one in a CGC grade this good is next-to-impossible. Only 4 other copies of this comic book have been graded higher by CGC!
