This is a VG- example with the full spine and vibrant colours.
One of the rarest Beano Books, perhaps only 10 copies known. This is the third Beano book, nominally 1942, but issued (and dated inside) 1941.

Condition
The book still displays very bright, sharp colours on the covers and spine. There is some scuffing to the board edges and corners. The spine shows wear to top and particularly to bottom, where a short section is partially detached. The webbing is showing slightly as seen in the images. A couple of lines (probably crayon) are to be seen to the cover, although minor.
There is the name of the first owner and the address (Pennington in the Lake District, where the book was sourced). It is dated 1941 when the book was issued.
The back endpaper is peeling at one corner. The binding is still largely tight and stable. There is foxing throughout due to the wartime paper although it looks worse in the pictures than in reality. There is no evidence of restoration and this book is fresh to the market –I purchased the book in the 1970’s from a private (non-collector) source.
