Batman: The Cult #1 from 1988
This key comic issue's embossed cover, featuring the great artwork of popular artist Bernie Wrightson, is signed by both he, and the writer of the tale, Jim Starlin, who are both recognized by fans the world over, for their awesome comic stories, including the graphic Batman story contained within.
This storyline now is considered among some of the more popular Batman comics of recent years to fans of the comic book genre, as well as to the greater literary community at large.
With Bernie Wrightsons recent passing, and Jim Starlin recently making statements that he will no longer sign comics that will be witnessed and graded by CGC, this issue is now a rare find for fans of both legendary creators, as well as a key collector's item to Batman fans the whole world over.
With the continuous release of new Batman movies, and the love of Bernie Wrightson's truly awesome artwork, demand and heat for this issue is likely to continue to rise, and, of course, these signed 9.8's are the extra special copies that will definitely be that much more coveted by a whole new generation of young fans.
This high grade copy has received a CGC grade of 9.8 with White pages, and it's signatures were done in the presence of an Authorized Witness for CGC who gave it their yellow Signature Series label which notes: "Signed by Jim Starlin & Bernie Wrightson on 9/8/12"
