This is THE first ever image of The Joker. Pages from Batman #1 come up for sale fairly often, but ‘this’ particular page is almost never available for sale. The last public sale of this page was for $5,977 in a Comic Connect auction last December (you can see this result on GPAnalysis), and that example had quite a bit of tape on it (the one offered here in this auction is in much nicer shape). Batman #1 is always going to be a top book in the hobby, but with virtually any complete/unrestored copy now being a six-figure item, pages such as the one offered here represent a much more affordable, yet still very impressive, piece of comic book history.
