During the next month we will be liquidating a pretty amazing comic book collection from a very old estate. It appears they were bought, read, then just put on a closet shelf where they sat for the past 40-50 years.

We are not comic book dealers and are under time constraints. Because comic grading is so subjective we will not attempt as novices to use the industry standard grading scale. We will provide large photos and have our own more basic grading system. The definitions for our grades are below. We will not be listing garbage books with major issues; the books are being sold as is.

Most of the books will have a musty or “old” smell and may be a bit dusty. Also overall the books do have light to moderate yellowing on the pages that come with age. It was hard to get the true colors of the book without the lighting affecting it. The stand the books are on is pure white so if its color is not white in the photo, know the book is off that hue also.

Because of the above factors this is your opportunity as collectors and dealers to obtain Golden, Silver and Bronze Age comics at a fraction of a CGC graded book price. Have the books graded yourself and turn our lack of time into profits or a killer collection for you!

Condition:  

VG: yellowing/cream pages; significant corner, spine and edge wear; lays flat; a few small tears to lower edges; clean staples; slight creasing at right corners.

See grading scale below.

NM: The comic looks like it was just bought from the store shelf with no defects.

VG++: The comic has no major defects. Maybe a tiny tear or two and light yellowing. Possible light minor creases, clean staples.

VG+:  A bit more wear then above grade, possible shade darker yellowing, corner wear, some creasing.

VG: Probably read numerous times, yellowing or browning, insect nibbling, tearing, some creasing

VG-: Pretty worn book but all pages intact, a good reading copy.
