Description

Overstreet   Very  Good-$126

If you are bidding on multiple auctions, I offer shipping discounts. See the details under Shipping. Do not pay any invoices until you are finished with all bidding. Once I receive any payment from you, I will ship the next day.

I am selling my personal collection of several thousand DC comics which is a nearly complete run of 1962-1972 DC comics excluding the romance and comedy titles. Also included are many 10 cent issues including nearly complete runs of Batman from #13 to #712, Brave & the Bold from #14 to #200, Justice League from #2 to #221 and Detective from #221 to #870.

About 30 auctions will be listed each evening for 3 to 4 days per week until they are all gone so add me as a favorite seller and check back when your titles come up for auction.

Grading:

The primary basis for grading should be the hi-res pictures. I will note any defects that are not obvious from these pictures including cover and page tears, water damage, and detached covers or centerfolds. The pictures will highlight any imperfections better than scanned images. Silver age issues will have at least 5 pictures with additional pictures in case a comic has defects or is a key issue.

I am using the Grading Definitions and estimate values from the Overstreet Price Guide (2017-2018 ed) with one variation. Comics with the following defects will be noted separately with the following designation and excluded from my overall grade so you can make your own adjustments in bidding.

CD1 = centerfold detached at one (top or bottom) staple

CFD = centerfold detached

CVR1 = cover detached at one staple

All other defects such as torn or missing pages, cover tears, water damage and coupon cuts etc., are noted in the description and, except for minor tears, would probably bring the grade down to GOOD or below.

Shipping:

Domestic Standard Shipping is $5 for the first comic and 50 cents for each additional comic. First Class is used for 5 comics or less and Media Mail is used for more than 5 comics. For Priority Mail, the cost is $7 for the first comic and 50 cents for each additional comic. Tracking is included on all domestic orders.

If you are from Canada and would like to bid, the cost that USPS charges for flat rate International Priority up to 10 comics is $25.

Domestic Shipping discounts: For orders over $50 I will offer the following discount. For 1st class (less than 6 comics) or media mail (6 or more comics), flat rate of $7 for up to 20 comics. For priority mail, $8 for up to 8 comics, $14 for up to 20 comics and $20 for up to 50 comics. Media mail can take up to 9 days.

I offer combined shipping for multiple wins over a 7 day period. Please read the following so you can save on shipping costs and I can avoid multiple trips to the post office.

  • DO NOT pay the first invoice that EBAY automatically sends out after an auction completes.
  • Within a few hours I will send you an invoice reflecting a shipping charge for all items you won that day.
  • If you are bidding on upcoming auctions and want me to hold off on mailing the comics until those auctions end, DO NOT pay this invoice.
  • If you do pay an invoice, I will mail your comics the following day. I cannot hold your comics for combined shipment after you make a payment as EBAY will penalize me for late shipments.
  • I will continue to send you an updated invoice each day you have additional wins. As long as you plan on bidding on upcoming auctions just ignore the invoice.
  • After 7 days from the time of your first win, I will send you a invoice with a note that it is a final invoice. Please either pay that invoice or let me know that you want more time to bid and combine your orders.
  • The limit for First Class mail is 16 ounces or about 5 comics. If your package is more than 16 ounces, it will be sent via Media Mail. If you do not want to use Media Mail, please request Priority Mail with your payment.

All comics are shipped by regular mail in bubble air mailers or top tuck corrugated boxes depending on the quantity or by USPS flat rate envelopes with bubble wrap and backer-boards for Priority Mail.

Insurance is included for orders over $100 up to $1000 using EBAY Ship Cover.
