Up for auction is a copy of Avengers #4 autographed by Joe Simon, who co-created Captain America, and by the man who resurrected Captain America in the silver age and whose name is synonymous with Marvel Comics--Stan "The Man" Lee, and graded 3.5 by CGC under its Signature Series label. This issue features the return of Captain America. The CGC case is in great shape with no cracks.
For those of you unfamiliar with Signature Series, the Signature Series label takes the place of a certificate of authenticity, and with it you know that a certified CGC witness saw the comic being autographed by the person indicated, and immediately afterwards took the comic into his possession so that t is no doubt the autograph is authentic. In the case of multiple autographs signed at different times, a CGC witness will only release the signed comic at the time it is to be autographed by another person, and then takes it right back. Note that the picture is of the actual comic for sale and not just some "stock" photo.To ensure that this comic and its CGC holder is received in the same condition as it was sent, it will be shipped well-protected in a box. Insured media mail shipping is available for $7.50, and insured priority mail shipping is available for $11.50. International rates are available upon request.
