After being bitten by a genetically modified spider, a nerdy, shy, and awkward high school student Peter Parker developed powers and abilities similar to that of a spider. After Peter's selfishness indirectly resulted in the death of his beloved Uncle Ben, Peter decided to live up to the motto that "With great power there must also come great responsibility," and thus became the superhero known as Spider-Man. STAN LEE

Stan Lee is a comic book writer, editor, actor, producer, publisher,television personality, and the former president and chairman of Marvel Comics. In other words he is a genius. He created Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men, the Avengers, Iron Man, The Hulk, Thor, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, and many other fictional characters. Lee subsequently led the expansion of Marvel Comics from a small division of a publishing house to a large multimedia corporation. He was inducted into the comic book industry's Will Eisner Comic Book Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Jack Kirby Hall of Fame in 1995. His creation of these super heroes will live on forever.
