Description

AVENGERS #20, May 1965.  "Vengeance is Ours!"  The Avengers continue their battle against . . . The Swordsman, a villiain who still buckles his swashes, and gets ellipses before his name is uttered.  His prior effort to join the Avengers was thwarted but here he returns to actually join them, although he is really a pawn of . . . the Mandarin!  Will this sworded tale end with the doom of the Avengers?   Cover art by Jack Kirby and the great Wally Wood with interior art by Don Heck and Wally Wood.  Flaws: Light tanning; there are several spinal dings; there is minor cover wear on the lower left corner of the cover; there are also a ding at the upper right corner and some wear/finger marks? in the title banner and adjoining skyscraper.  They were read once or twice and then stored away.  The pages have slight tanning, but meet Overstreet's definition of Very Fine; I wish I'd had a hermetically sealed storage facility to preserve pure white pages.  The book is flat with tight staples and a very nice appearance.  Will be shipped securely, bagged and boarded, with combined shipping for multiple purchases.  If the combined weight exceeds 15.9 ounces, the package is sent by priority mail and not first class.  Please review the scans for details or email me with questions.  Please check my other Marvel auctions over the next several months, as I am selling my collection, purchased at the time of publication.
