Description
ATOMTAN no.1, 1987
Original copy of the very first published work from Jamie Hewlett, Philip Bond & Alan Martin.
This comics fanzine was self-published by the three of them while they were still at college.
Features the very first appearance of TANK GIRL (see 2nd picture)
This copy is also SIGNED by Jamie Hewlett (on rear cover - see 4th & 8th pics) plus Philip Bond & Alan Martin (on the front cover)
It also comes with an original A4 hand-written and SIGNED LETTER from Philip Bond on his headed-paper - letter mentions selling artwork and the "very limited" Wired World T-shirts for sale
I understand there were only 200 copies published in 1987 so this is obviously now extremely rare - and this is a particularly unique copy to own
You'll no doubt know that this fanzine was the precursor to DEADLINE and their careers ever since, which in Hewlett's case includes his work as GORILLAZ with Damon Albarn of Blur
Also includes a Morrissey tribute page
I have added an appropriate reserve due to the uniqueness and rarity. Feel free to make offers. I'm also selling ATOMTAN no.2.
Condition: FN+ some darkening to the edges
