This SOTA Toys Spiderman chess set is now very hard to find at any price! It’s a limited edition of 1000 sets worldwide and the original issue price was $499.00

This dynamic, original chess set features 16 different characters (plus 8 Spider Tracers and 8 Spider Killers) and a beautifully sculpted chess board that recreates a roof top battle between good and evil.

This product is sure to be the centerpiece of any Spider-Man collection. The chess board features a sculpted lid that lifts off to reveal a storage space for all of the chess pieces. The pieces are all high-quality pewter and I believe the board is very detailed resin. See below for a list of characters.

This set was displayed in a showcase for a number of years before it came to me. Both the board and the pieces are in very good shape with a couple of inevitable minor issues which I’ve tried very hard to show in the pictures. There are a couple of paint cracks and chips – due mostly, I think, to normal temperature changes.

I have the original box and packaging for the set and I’ll carefully re-pack it. The outer cardboard box was stored in a storeroom for a number of years (and looks it) and because I don’t trust its strength I will be double boxing the whole set to ship it all more securely. This is a very big and very heavy item to ship so I won’t be able to offer combined shipping with it. It will be 24”x24”x18” and will weigh about 50 lbs. As a protection to you (and at no cost) I’m going to ship it with a signature required so it won’t be left unprotected on your doorstep. 

Please take a look at the pictures for condition and in case I missed or forgot to mention something. Don’t hesitate to ask questions! I’m happy to help, but maybe not the best photographer. For some reason the camera flash made some of the pictures look a little more red, so I tried to include pictures both ways. Unfortunately, I needed to use the flash to show more detail. Since I’m not an expert with this kind of thing I’m sure I won’t have provided all the information you’d like.
