Greeting true believers! This is Stan Lee and it's time for Cosmic Adventure in the Mighty Marvel Manner!!!  'nuff said...........................

Ok, it isn't Stan Lee, but I thought it'd be fun to kick off this week's auctions with an homage to those old Bronze Age Cartoons owing their inspiration to many of these Bronze Age classics on sale right now.

For you consideration this week, I have a collection of Bronze Age Star-Spanning Cosmic Classics including the adventures of Cosmic Protector Captain Marvel, the enigmatic Adam Warlock, the planet-hopping Guardians of the Galaxy, the sky-riding Silver surfer and oh yes, the Star Warriors themselves; Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Chewy Chewbacca and her royal highness Princess Leia!!!  What can I say, other than it's Cosmic Adventure in the Mighty Marvel Manner!  Enjoy!!!

This particular auction is for FN/VF (see photo and judge for yourself) copy of Marvel Comics Strange Tales #178 featuring Adam Warlock & the Magus!  Written, illustrated & colored by legendary artist/writer Jim Starlin!! Who is Adam Warlock??  Who is the Magus???  Buy this ish and find out!

With a somewhat convoluted publication history, allow me to clear up some of the confusion.  After first appearing in the Fantastic Four (#66-67), then appearing as a villain in the pages of the Mighty Thor (#165-166), Adam Warlock became the first feature in the Marvel anthology title known as Marvel Premiere.  After just two issues, he given his own feature mag which lasted for eight issues with that story-arc concluding in the pages of the Incredible Hulk (#176-178).  That seemed the end of Adam Warlock's story until legendary artist/writer Jim Starlin began a new story arc for him in the pages of Strange Tales (#178-181) before relaunching his monthly mag for seven more issues (ending with #15), then finally concluding Adam Warlock's tragic story in the pages of Avengers Annual #7 and Marvel Two-in-One Annual #2.  The hero of tomorrow received a new lease on life (as it were) with the launch of the Infinity Gauntlet series and it's spin-offs in the early nineties.  Just trying to help a fellow marvel-ite out with this.  :-)

Bonus!!  Just for fun, I'm throwing in a GD copy of Incredible Hulk #177 wherein Adam Warlock defends Counter-Earth against the Incredible Hulk!!!
