Changes made May 10, 2016:
1) The FREE SHIP/INSURANCE part of BONUS was increased from 10 Auctions to 15 Auctions. This was done because ALL FREE SHIP/INS. winners would only bid Fridays' Auctions and stop. The Promotion is designed to have Bidding on all three ( 3) Auction days, not the first 20 of 130 Auctions. To compensate for those who participated all three days, if you win 10 Auctions we will CAP your ship cost at a flat rate of $6.00. Once you win 15 Auctions or more, you get FREE SHIP/INSURANCE. Companies don't have promotions to keep giving items/products away for next-to-nothing; they would go out-of-business fast. After much input from eBay Customers, this is a good solution for now. We added much Value the last two months to the BONUS COMICS closing in on the 2K level. These kind of Promotions are rarely seen anywhere online. Changes will be made as needed.
However, some questions arose a few weeks ago, as one Bidder got stuck on 19 Auctions, another was stuck on 16 and a 3rd bidder stuck on 15. Here are the Rules moving forward( December 1, 2015):
1) Any Bonus Winner must win  COMIC BOOK Auctions only: no 2nd Chance Offers will count as an Auction win. Why? This prevents bidders from unfairly running up every auction in the hopes that others won't pay so that they can easily get 30 or more wins. That has not happened, but this was asked during the last round of Auctions.
2) Any Bonus Winner cannot win Bonus Comics and return the main auction wins and keep the Bonus Comics; of course if you file a legitimate return claim as is your choice to do so, the Bonus Comics MUST be returned and as part of the winning auction contract.
3) Any Bonus Comic cannot be returned for any value of any kind. Yes someone asked us that the other week.
4) Please don't ask us to keep a "tally" or count of how many Auctions you have won and/or are winning.
5) Auctions count/tally for THIS WEEKEND( Fri/Sat/Sun) only. No carry-overs for the next batch of Auctions.
6) As we list a MINIMUM of 120 Auctions per batch, there possibly can be Four ( 4) Bonus Winners. We have 3 extra Giveaway batches already set aside in case that should ever happen.
7) A reminder: COMIC BOOK Auctions only are eligible for the Bonus Free Ship/Insure/Giveaway Promotions. A few Bidders did bid those Star War Toys and Plate Ware we hastily added at the last day, and we honored the wins, of course, but the Bonus is designed for COMIC BOOKS only. Trade paperbacks with Superheroes are considered COMIC BOOKS. To make it clear to bidders, any items that are NOT eligible for the BONUSES will have a line around the "Fine Print" stating the ineligibility.
8) While we do like the Promotions above, we may skip the Promotion for a week or month or two, depending on many factors beyond the scope of detailing the reasons here.  We may modify the Promotion for future Auction batches at our sole discretion, including suspending the Promotion temporarily or permanently. Changes will be made to fit the Business Model to create a fair platform for both Buyers and Seller.
9) The BONUS Comics are NOT Insured. We had a nightmare situation in March 2016, the Insurance did not cover the BONUS Comics damaged by our good friends at the USPS. The Insurance only honored the 26 auctions the nice man won. He was not too happy with us, so to be fair, we contacted eBay and THEIR advice was to pretend that they won a car at the Casino: they must be responsible for taxes AND Insurance, so long as they do not pay for any item(s) that is part of the Promotion. Henceforth, the BONUS COMICS will be shipped separately, as we promise and MUST deliver Next-Day-Shipping.( Must have 90% trackable by eBay's system, no one else's). We will contact the Winner(s) of the BONUS COMICS and ask them if they want to Insure the BONUS COMICS at the LISTED VALUATION on the Auction description pages. This Valuation is NON-NEGOTIABLE. If the BONUS COMICS winner(s) elect NOT to Insure their BONUS COMICS, we are NOT RESPONSIBLE for USPS damages/losses, or anything not covered here in this description.
10) Auctions with two or more items in the Description do NOT count numerically; be it 15 items or 1 item, each Auction stands on it's own as ONE AUCTION.
Main Details for the "Fine Print":
1) We may utilize STOCK PHOTOS: we guarantee that the Described Grade will be delivered to the Winners of each Auction.
1B) We no longer take "extra" photos by request. Not only do we not have the time, but we either show any important details with the standard photos we do show. When a Bidder does inquire about item(s), we DO try to answer to the best of our abilities. If the first two or more photos and a written response is not enough, "extra" photos are not going to help in those cases.
 2) We only sell USA and selected Territories/Federal. NO International.
3) ALL invoices over $50.00 WILL be Insured. Items under $50.00 may be Insured at our discretion. Insurance is part of the Shipping and Handling, and is non-negotiable, and we do NOT answer questions regarding shipping/insurance.
Some items will have a higher ship cost; based on an anticipated higher Sales Price, thus costs more to INSURE your item(s).
3b) We combine shipping. Add $1.00 per additional book, $1.00 per ONE sports-card, $1.00 per extra Coin, $1.00 per toy. The shipping is automatically capped at the winning ten( 10) Auctions at $6.00 including Insurance, as winning over 15 gives you FREE SHIP/INSURANCE!

4) California residents must pay the CA State Sales Tax. If you have a BOE Seller's Permit, please forward us an email attachment before auctions end, and a revised Invoice will be sent SUNDAY.

5) PayPal payment due within seven( 7) days after auction ends.

We ship within ONE (  1) BUSINESS DAY AFTER payment is received. eBay and USPS automatically sends eMails to ALL Customers once the shipping labels are generated by us online. Those emails contain any tracking numbers so you can track your shipments.  You WILL be able to see the auto-eMails in your eBay Messages box. We are NOT responsible if you "lose" or can't find those auto-sent eMails.

6) NO Zero or Private feedback bidders. Bids will be canceled without notice. No exceptions.

7) ALL pending Invoices, will be sent to you BY SUNDAY NIGHT! We do NOT answer emails requesting a Total sent to you on Thursday, Friday or Saturday. This is only done SUNDAY.

7b) We offer NEXT-DAY-SHIPPING. For those who are allowed to type at a keyboard but cannot possess 2nd grade English reading-level comprehension, that does NOT mean that you get the items the same day or the next day after you pay. See Spot run. Turn the page. What that means is that your package must be Postmarked the Next BUSINESS day after you pay. Business days are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday Except Federal Holidays. Spot says hello woof woof.

8) If you pay via eCheck, we will NOT ship item(s) until the eCheck clears. That can, and has, taken SEVEN Business Days to clear. And the Higher Dollar amount Auction wins can take FIFTEEN BUSINESS DAYS to clear. Due to the constant haranguing and harassing from numerous Customers that do not understand this, we will NO LONGER respond to their barrage of pestering us with the " did you send the item(s)?". We are making a Business Decision once we receive the very first email: to Refund your monies back to you, then Blocking you. Yes, we are outright going to ignore ALL pestering emails when the eCheck is pending. And there will be NO EXCEPTIONS! We are in the works of trying to not accept eChecks at all. The time we are saving makes this a great Business Decision. We are not trying to be harsh with Customers, it is just that a few Customers just don't know when to quit the badgering. If those pestering Customers can't trust us enough to send them their item(s) then online commerce is not for them. We no longer want nor need their business, and hopefully they can find another source that has the High Grade Uber Silver Age Comic Books that start at One Dollar, not some Buy-It-Now overpriced Auction you see listed month after month. Good luck with that and let me know how your search goes.

 Notes about our Comic Book Auctions:

9a) we use Digital photos, with Flash features; this may make a few comics look a little brighter than what they are; we do NOT send extra photos. We are not built for that as that is overburdensome and cannot spend all our time photoing items.

9b) We have many multiples of Issues/copies, and may use the 2nd Chance Offer as we usually have the seconds/thirds, etc. handy; the 2nd Chance Offers moving foreword will be for ONE DAY only; that way we can get your items out before the week's end.

9c) Grading disagreement is NOT enough for "not as described". If you disagree with the grade and return the comic books, we will charge that 20% Restock Fee. If we miss something( a page missing, something MAJOR), that is a different story, we will refund 100%, but not for a 1/32" crease on the bottom staple that was not mentioned in description.

9d) LOOK AT THE PHOTOS CAREFULLY! Please no more of this " I did not see that"...

9e) We make ZERO dollars/cents off the shipping. The INSURANCE alone costs between $1.65 minimum at the $50.00 value level to $4.85 when a NM+ 9.6 Silver Age comic book sells for $200.00 and up. The last Customer that demanded Priority when he won 12 books cost $23.55 for Priority, included the Insurance costs. I guess he did not figure that $675.00 in books would have $10.00 INSURANCE. We do not engage in shipping/insurance discussions. The Shipping Costs are higher for some items because of the anticipated higher Final Sales Price, thus a higher INSURANCE cost. Our Ship/Insurance model is based on that anticipation of Insurance costs, and a generous Discount is factored in when multiple items are purchased. If we are not out too much money, we WILL ship Priority when we can. Also factored are our supplies: we have boxes that fit more than the free USPS mailers, we use bubble-padded mailers, stickers for "Fragile", "Do Not Bend", "Made in the USA", and the most important sticker of all: "Thank You!". Also we have wages we pay to the intermittent part-timers of our friends. The USPS is raising shipping rates again sometime in 2016.

9f)  Try looking up the Tracking on the USPS website before calling us. If your item(s) get held up somewhere, print out the Delivery Confirmation, take it to your local USPS branch and ask THEM why your package is held up. USPS will have an answer before I ever will, and they CANNOT talk to me about YOUR mail! YOU have to make the initial inquiry, then determine if I, the Seller, can help out( pay any claim). THEN at that point I will contact your Branch, and file any claim. I have no clue why your package is held up and cannot be the Private Investigator for 120 auctions bi-weekly.
9g) The USPS can be slow, especially for ECONOMY RATE. All our Auctions start at ECONOMY RATE. If you want a faster service, you may elect to pay for a faster service, but it WILL cost far more. We are working on shipping options, they may be in place May 13, 2016 or at a later date.
9h) The USPS does not automatically upload Tracking when they receive the items from us. More than half the time, the item(s) are not scanned until they are Delivered. I hate to keep repeating myself, but once we ship item(s), we are NOT RESPONSIBLE for all Items. The USPS is. If you have a hard time with this and don't like that, we are not for you and please shop elsewhere. Good Luck getting the items that start at One Dollar like ours. Email us and let us know how that turns out.
9i) Some Customers insist on the "boxed" shipping method, despite proof on the contrary that the "boxed" shipping is sorted differently than the "flats/1st-4th class bins" and get damaged far more than the "flats/bins". We figured out by adding the Retail Ground option at $7.95 covers the $2.00 Box, and we can adjust Invoices Manually from there.
9j) Yes, I must re-insert this payment method here. Here it is: Do NOT pay until you get your Invoice SUNDAY NIGHT. Repeat, we do NOT send out ANY Invoices until SUNDAY NIGHT. If you pay immediately after a win, then win another item, eBay has NO WAY of informing us that you paid more than once, thus we lose the automatic ability to combine your Invoices. We sell over 2,000 items per month between eBay, eBid, Etsy, Craigslist, Amazon( mostly coins), and Heritage( mostly coins). We sell items by referral through US Coinworld, and several other sites. We have 2nd Chance Offers that get paid late in the week, slow payers, returns, replacements, etc. We ship something EVERYDAY except Sundays. MONDAY is reserved just for eBay, as we Guarantee Next-Day-Shipping. There is NO WAY we could have known that a man won, and then paid for three items. Of course he was upset, but I think he would have been more upset had I pocketed the 2nd and 3rd ship costs and sent him one package. Oh well.

10) if you really want to contact us, do NOT put your message in the "sales record". Under the eBay "Communicating with your Buyers" the Sales record is NOT required. Use the eBay forwarding messaging system, and give us time to get to your question(s).

11) the "YOU GRADE IT/YOU GRADE 'EM' items are just that: YOU decide what the grade is. The "YOU GRADE IT/'EM' there is no waiving the 20% Restock Fee under all circumstances.

12) do NOT request us to ship in comic "mailers" or any other method. We will deem that an unreasonable demand.

13) there will be NO PARTIAL REFUNDS under any reason, including damaged shipping, bad packaging, slow USPS and other mishaps that are out of OUR control.

14) If you RETRACT any bid for ANY reason before contacting me, you WILL be permanently placed on the Blocked Bidder List.

15) No excuse for the "can't get ahold of the Seller( Me)". Get my contact information through the eBay Forwarding System. Go to eBay Customer Support and they will walk you through any steps necessary.

RETURN POLICY: We honor all returns, however, we charge a 20% RESTOCK FEE no Exceptions!

 ERRORS AND OMISSIONS Disclaimers:16a) If we mistakenly list two identical/mislabeled comic books and do not catch it in time to fix BOTH auctions, the double listing: BOTH auctions will be VOID, unless both Buyer and Seller mutually agree..
16b) If we send a copy that is different than the picture, we are obligated by eBay rules to deliver the SAME GRADED ITEM OR BETTER as the picture shown.
16c) Anything not covered in this "Fine Print" is not automatically going to be in your favor. To stop the opportunists abound, this part of the Disclaimer states that WE decide what course of action to take, even if we make an error that is uncharacteristic of our past performance within the last 16 years. That is my nice way of saying that I will fight, scratch and claw to keep getting ripped off. I am not going to be taken advantage of any more.

SHIPPING METHOD:

1) We have sturdy 70 weight cardboard backing boards specially made just for Quintessence Productions, LLC. They are EXACT measurements at 8.5 " x 10.5", enough to cover the Silver Age comics. Bronze age and newer comics are made slightly smaller, so our boards cover ALL comics made after 1955. We may need to "cut and trim" them as needed. We have slightly bigger boards made for Golden Age, and the larger Platinum Age( yes we have hundreds off them too). We do NOT use tape of any kind. We use size 31 rubber bands, vertical and # 84 bands horizontally to fasten somewhat snugly the item between the boards. Then we put the boarded comic inside a mailer that is just a tad under 11" X 9". THERE IS NO MOVEMENT WHATSOEVER for the comic to get damaged. Any subtle, minute movement if at all possible, the comic book backing board will protect the comic book.

1b) Had another great Customer suffer damage on an Avengers comic he won March 20th, 2016. He emailed me to tell me that he wants the Comics taped to the backing boards. He truly believes that the USPS could not have damaged his item with the tape. What hurt this transaction was the value was way under $50.00, thus not Insured. I think the USPS has a "nose" for this, and acts accordingly.  Henceforth, if you do NOT want the rubber band method, you MUST email me via the eBay messaging system ONLY, and tell me that you want the tape method. However, if you ask/get the tape, and the USPS still damages your item, I will tell the Insurance carrier that you went against my preferred method thus risking your claim(s), should any arise. Putting any communication in the Sales Record is risky because my hired help can easily miss this.
2) We ship ENVELOPE PACKAGE FIRST!  If you insist on Box shipping, add $2.00 to your Order. By the chance we need to send Order in the Box at our choice, we will refund you your $2.00. If you have a small order and do not send the $2.00, we will properly assume that YOU AGREE to the Envelope Package.3) Do NOT badger us about paying us on a Saturday, and expect your item the following Monday. I just won't send you the items, and will refund your money and force you to cry to eBay to force me to sell you the item(s). I am already going to get a Negative from the human-challenged idiot, so I am going to make the oxygen-waster work hard for his/her joy in inflicting misery. If you REALLY insist on Next Business Day DELIVERY( not shipping) for that $5.00 REPRINT comic, my flat fee is $100.00 and I will Fed Ex it Next Day Delivery and I WANT you to cry about excess ship fees to eBay, the ultimate Defender of all-things Buyers only.

RETURN POLICY: We honor all returns, however, we charge a 20% RESTOCK FEE no Exceptions! Yes, I

deliberately posted this TWICE.

Insurance Claims:

So if the shipper damages the item(s), you MUST:

a) notify us that the item was damaged and that you wish to return it back to us;

b) we WILL accept your return, pay the postage through eBay, and you will be able to print the return label;

c) The Insurer will email/call you to verify said claim;

d) there is a TIME FRAME eBay allows YOU to send damaged item to us. Please don't ignore that;

e) you will be refunded by us: the Insurer sends US the funds, then we forward the funds to you. This may take several days;

f) send us the ORIGINAL PACKAGING, including the rubber bands and backing boards. Had TWO cases in March the Insurance Carrier asked me to ship EVERYTHING to them. One case pending, the other honored.

g) To repeat a detail from above: THERE WILL BE NO PARTIAL REFUNDS under any circumstances, even if we make a human mistake. If you say that USPS somehow damaged any item, we will only reply ONCE to your initial email.  Either you are going to follow Insurance instructions above or keep the item. We will not engage in the back-and-forth "maybe this, maybe that"...

FEEDBACK POLICY:

 The BUYER decides when any transaction has been completed, not the Seller. We are NEVER going to reverse our Feedback Policy which is fair and simple: We post you your Positive Feedback AFTER you post for us first. Your Positive Feedback will be returned within 3 weeks, in most cases much sooner. We ALWAYS return Positive Feedback, we are a cinch Seller who likes returning Positive Feedbacks. We never forget to return Feedbacks.

eBay for the 16th year and running:

If you are in the Southern California area, and want to sell us your comics OR Coins, we will start buying them back once again. We just got back from buying a vast Silver Age collection in Arizona, and will travel depending on the deal, but mostly we will consider buying comics from the Southern California locales. If you are really serious, you know how to keep in contact with me. The Modern comics I get offered all the time, we only pay up to FIVE CENTS per book, if we take the deal, and depending on the condition of any books. There is not much upside in the Modern( 1980 - current) comics as they printed millions per month versus the 165,000 during the Silver Age days. We do pay far more for Silver Age, but we need to inspect them first, and make our customary one-time Offers for them. Again, CONDITION is the major factor when we buy collectibles.

As of January 1, 2016, we will no longer be accepting Consignments, EXCEPT from established shops for 3rd Party Graded Coins.
