So here's my prize... Since I purchased it about 20 years ago, it has increased its value more than *45 TIMES* over the original price, but I need money now to help out a friend.
Truly the workhorse investment of any collection, Wolverine never seems to get old (no pun intended!), his appeal is worldwide, and his first appearance is among the most highly sought-after of any Bronze Age comic. There are less than 1500 "Universal" labeled copies this grade or above in the CGC Census to meet total global demand.
Having folded Wolverine along with the rest of the X-Men from Fox into Disney's MCU means prospects for this property look very bright, and this moment, before any new mutant plans are declared, is the time to buy.
I should note specific to this issue: There is no restoration. It was also never pressed nor cleaned. I didn't know about such things when I was having it slabbed, but looking at it now, it may well get bumped up a grade with a little CPR and cleaning to the back cover. Now I don't have the time to do it myself; let my loss be your gain.
