This is the original COVER art by Nick Cardy from Superman #276 published by DC COMICS in 1974. It measures 12" X 17 9/16". One of the most iconic comic covers in comic history. Features Captain Thunder (or should we call him Captain Marvel?) Here is something you need to know...the main part of art is a stat that DC used for some reason ....BUT...it's was glued to the ORIGINAL art that is underneath....the stat was coming a bit loose and I noticed the real art underneath. It only came up a bit and I didn't trust myself to take the stat off fully. Take a look at the pics as I show the art underneath.. (it is yellowing under the stat) AWESOME! On Sep-16-15 at 08:39:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Holding the page up to light shows the original art underneath the stat. It appears to be the same exact image as the stat but just positioned slightly different. Keep in mind that the glue used to put the stat down yellowed the image underneath...I'm not sure if they make anything to remove the yellowing. Thanks, Steve
There is also a small tear on the S on the Superman logo...you can see it if you roll the magnifying thingy over the logo. I just noticed it.
