Insanely beautiful, sweet comic book that is EXTREMELY RARE! Good luck finding one! This is even more rare than the highly collectible spiderman 1 GOLD UPC! No one even really knows the exact print run either. It is estimated to have been anywhere from 2500-5000. Even so, the gold UPC is less than 10,000. So the Chromium is not only the most bad ass variant of the SUPER sweet record breaking Spiderman #1 by Mcfarlane, it is ALSO the MOST RARE and sought after variant, and besides Amazing Spiderman 300, this the ULTIMATE Todd Mcfarlane gold mine, and dream. It really is a beautiful comic... Sparkly, reflective, amazing colors, rich hues, NO spine stress, dents, smudges, fingerprints, ALL pages intact and in pristine condition, "white pages". Perfect tight corners, no scratching/scuffing/fading. BEAUTIFUL 9.8-9.9 in my opinion, but I took good pictures for you to see this is for yourself. In a few of the pictures you can see what appears to be a white line, but I can assure you that this is just the glare /reflection (of me and my camera) off this amazingly beautiful cover! It's perfect looking!
Spiderman 1 came out in August of 1990 and broke all kinds of records, it revolutionized the comic industry with its "variant" covers of the first issue, written and penciled by Mcfarlane.
The Green cover launched and had the most memorable bad ass pose we've ever seen
it really catches the eye, that's why it has at least 35-40 cover swipes paying homage and respect to the man! Todd Mcfarlane!
It caught the eyes of the comic fans and the industry entirely, paving the way for Jim Lee's X-Men 1 with 5 variants and connecting covers.
