This auction is for a CGC 9.6 (NM+) copy of Incredible Hulk #181 featuring the first appearance of Wolverine. The most important key of the past 50 years! I have seen dozens of 9.6 copies over the years, and this is by far the nicest one. The spine is perfectly centered and absolutely flawless without even the hint of a color break, which is very rare, even for a 9.8. The colors are exceptionally vivid and bright, and the pages are snow white. The only flaw mentioned in the CGC grader notes is a light stress mark by the lower right corner on the front cover, and you have to use a magnifying glass to see it clearly. This copy is very very close to 9.8. Please carefully review the high-resolution scans and let me know if you have any questions about the condition of the book.

The last two 9.6 copies sold for $18,500 on the open market. This copy is much nicer than both of them. Based on recent sales, the current fair market value of this copy is approximately $21,000. All reasonable offers will be considered.
