This long running series is one of the more influential, fueling the start of the silver-age with this coveted key book and then running for decades, becoming much more unpredictable and less 'comic', with often graphic and shocking content, after Neal Adams came on board in issue #76, which ushered in the 'bronze-age' of comics.  The pale edges of the cover provide great contrasts and it is a treat to behold when it's unblemished by such pesky detractors as soiling or obvious creases.  Green Lantern and the JLA have become household names with all the toys and videogames and statues and animation and action-figures and clothing and the plethora of other licensed merchandise.  Green Lantern was a smash hit star at theaters in recent years, and he'll be starring in more films co-starring other heroes (J.L.A.), bringing the the love of all these iconic heroes to still another generation of fans around the world...  It doesn't get much more "Blue Chip" than this!

ALWAYS POPULAR, BUT INCREASINGLY RARE, UNRESTORED HIGH-GRADE SPECIMENS OF THIS OLD 10-CENTER ARE ONLY GETTING HOTTER!

This historic comic is a real find in unrestored VF or better shape, as some copies had production flaws such as printing creases or scuffs or distributor ink, and most examples were read and re-read, time and time again, and with the glossy sky blue cover even the tiniest flaws seem magnified.  However, this copy is spectacular, as it's lustrous and clean and there is no distracting major wear or obvious aging, and it has precise printing registration.  And some examples aren't aligned correctly and/or have poor centering, while this gem is a standout in those departments.  And the gloss is excellent, too!   Good luck finding this level of eye appeal again in the future, as this beauty boasts deep rich uniform colors and a flat clean appearance, devoid of common problems such as print-creases and and chips, and the deep gloss is a bonus.  In the scans, there are reflections and glare, which is not evident when viewing the actual book in person.
