You are bidding on a piece of original comic book art from Fantastic Four #40. Published by Marvel Comics Group (July 1965), this action packed page features a one-on-one fight with Ben "The Thing" Grimm and Doctor Von Doom.
The page features light graphite and blue penciling by legendary comic book artist Jack Kirby including editor's notes and painted correction (white ink/paint). Original inking by V. Colletta.
This large 13 ½" x 21 ¼" page carries heavy signs of wear on the left side. This includes dirt marks, light warping from water damage (again, left side only) and small corner pin holes. The page has been stored flat for 35 years and carries lightly rounded corners.
The last photo in this action was taken from Fantastic Four Essential: Vol. 2; which carries a B&W copy of Issue #40. We did this so you, the viewer, can compare quality as well as authenticity of this page. Please note that this comic book compilation is not included.
