You are bidding on a wonderful and very exceptional Estate Sale find, a Walt Disney Studio 1944 Comic Strip Double Proof Page of Mickey Mouse, Mickey's Nephews & Jose Carioca. The page was released and put in the syndicated newspapers on September 5, 1943. Mickey and his nephew have to endure a hot day, and the young boys want to go swimming- they put their imaginations to work to solve their problems. The proof page was printed up for inspection before it was mass produced for the newspapers and was one of the final steps that was used as part of the comic strip production process.
This item and others to follow in the coming days are from the estate of Disney animator John Basmajian. The piece measures approx 16"X 20" and shows it's age of being being printed on newsprint paper. There is no moisture damage, or damaged, but the edges are brittle and missing in a few small spots, and still would make a great framed addition to your collection.
