You are bidding on a wonderful and very exceptional Estate Sale find, the last one known in the collection of a total of 10 cells to complete two Disney 1940 Original Comic Strips. The Art Lay Out Ink Drawings are of Donald Duck and are each titled "His Ship Comes In" " and "A Little Bird Told Him." The drawings are original, on card stock and not reproduced, and were used as part of the comic strip production process dated 11-20-1940 & 11-21-40. Each of the drawings show pencils marks, black ink markings and some adhesive in each cell. The art work was produced on other card stock paper and then cut & glued onto the main cardstock, with scenes being completed on each cell. This item and others to follow in the coming days are from the estate of Disney animator John Basmajian. The piece measures approx 15"X 24" and shows slight storage scuff marks, and adhesive marks in some of the cells. There is no moisture damage, but there is a tear in the main card stock.
