I think you will be hard pressed to ever find a better copy of this book. It is notoriously difficult to find in DECENT, complete shape let alone high grade, near new condition.

I would grade the book a 9.5 with the only really detracting feature being some edge discoloration and would grade the DJ solid FINE+ . See condition details below.

CONDITION DETAILS

DJ ----has some age darkening particularly around edges but shows no color fading that I can detect. However there is a bit of a "dust shadow" around the front cover spine and top and a slight discolor to the DJ back lower left. There is a neat 0.75 inch split in the DJ front cover, lower left corner near spine. Overall the DJ has a bit of a dusty appearance but the gloss is still nice and this still stands as possibly the best DJ I have seen in 35 years and I have seen 2-3 dozen of these in DJs in that time. Also note the minor chipping to top spine and carries over to back cover upper right where there is a small piece off

SPINE--the spine scans make it look darker than it really is but the appearance is pretty accurate, the DJ is smooth but the spine has some wrinkles from the massive interior of the book...it's a HEAVY book !

BOOK---name very neatly in ink on interior but my guess is this was read little if even at all ; the pop ups (all 4) are complete, smooth, unfaded and fresh as the day they were made, the THICK pages are tight and smooth like sheets of glass and appear almost untouched. All pages are held firmly in the book. A "birth defect" of this book, because of it's thick pages and massive interior, is that frequently the weight of the pages pull the signatures completely away from the spine. For this reason and at this point in its age, one cannot open a book like this all the way without risk of damage.

However I would never advise laying this book flat open to display the popups. If you want to do that, buy a much cheaper copy!
