Captain America #117 & 118

Captain America #117Marvel | Sept 1969 | First Printing
Writer: Stan Lee
Artist: Gene Colon with Joe Sinnott Inks
Issue Note: First Appearance of the Falcon     Condition: Very Fine • This is a really sharp and attractive copy. The only notable defect that might not be noticed in the scans is that there is some pull on the bottom staple. While the staple has a tight grip to the cover, it could loosen with continuous casual use.Captain America #118Marvel | Oct 1969 | First Printing
Writer: Stan Lee

Issue Note: Second Appearance of the Falcon        Condition: Fine- • The book has really nice gloss for a low mid-grade book. While it has a number of common flaws for its grade, most of them are minor scuffs or light creases. There aren't the fold creases that has a nastier affect on the paper quality. It's a really nice copy for it's grade.  About Our Grading: My client, Bruce Ayres, has been grading comics since 1975 and he is a CGC member. I, myself am a very conservative grader. It is rare that I grade a comic greater than a Near Mint, and even if a comic is obviously exceptional I feel very uncomfortable grading higher than Near Mint+ and I will not grade any book a 10.0 because the possibility of a spec that I might miss is always there. Which isn't to say that we never miss a defect, but because the highest grade copies are so selectively desirable, we have been taking extra time and care to grade these. These are not slabbed copies, but check our feedback rating, you can feel confident that they're graded just as strictly and will be shipped to you well protected.

Because most of the items I sell are collectibles I pack your order so it will be protected and will arrive to you in the condition it was listed as. For books I ship either in a box with packing paper for protection or in a heavy-duty cardboard mailer. Regardless of which method I use I provide internal protection inside to keep the book from rubbing or bumping corners. All comics are bagged and boarded. Other products may be packaged differently but all are packed to be secure and protected. I'm frustrated myself when I buy a collectible that arrives with damages due to inappropriate packing, which sadly occurs more often than I would hope for. So I take great pride in being reliable in my packing.
I'm selling these on behalf of Capital City Comics in Madison, Wisconsin which is a reputable dealer of collectible comics since 1975. Bruce has a reputation for carrying quality product and knowing his trade and as you can see by the approval rating that I have, I do right by my customers so bid with confidence!
