AVENGERS #1 from September 1963
This is the very first issue of the hugely popular Avengers comic book series, that originally came out in September of 1963 (and with a cover price of only 12 cents!).
The Avengers comic book was created by the legendary team of Stan Lee and Jack Kirby. This issue features the new team's first adventure, in an epic battle with Loki (that was the basis for the first Avengers Movie) and it also contains a Fantastic Four appearance, as well.
The Avengers franchise gained a much more widespread popularity in recent years, when the well-made debut Avengers Movie was received with so much acclaim, and the newest release, "The Avengers: Age of Ultron" movie brought even more characters to the scene, and it had a massive box office worldwide, and that only served to further solidify their dominance of the superhero movie genre!
This particular copy has bright colors and good eye-appeal and is well-centered, and it has been graded by third party grading company CGC and it received a Universal (unrestored) 5.0 with off-white page quality. It would make a great addition to any Avengers or silver-age Marvel key comic collection, or investment portfolio, for that matter.
