Action Comics #242 from July, 1958.

CGC Graded 6.0 (Fine condition) with Off-White to White Pages.

One of the nicest copies of this issue that I’ve seen for sale in a very long time! Near perfect, off-white to white page quality (which is very rare for 1950’s DCs). Much nicer spine than you typically see on this book. Grade took a hit due to the covers popping loose on the back cover side of the bottom staple.

Very desirable, key issue featuring the origin and first appearance of Brainiac, who is rumored to be the villain in one of the upcoming DC comic book movies.

I paid over $12,000 for an 8.0 copy last year, and honestly this 6.0 has a better look to it. I also sold a CBCS graded 7.0 copy for $7,600 in 2015, which was very comparable in appearance to this one (and prices have only risen since then).

Freshly back from CGC (has the newest version of the case, which looks spectacular!).
